Our Competence

OVER 50 YEARS OF HISTORY HAVE FORGED THE COMPANY’S TECHNICAL ABILITY TO DEVELOP AND PRODUCE LEATHER GOODS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY AND COMPLEXITY.

Our artisanal intelligence, ingenuity and professionalism allows BMB to cover any demanding task and is present at every level of the organization.
Our organization has designed and adopted a detailed process book, mapping all activities, interactions and individual tasks to smoothly fulfill all steps from model making to prototyping,

from sampling to industrialization and to production always remaining in full compliance and thus assuring to our customers constant visibility and reliability.
Internally, we deliver with ease a full service starting from a sketch to the final quality check of the wrapped and packed luxury bag!

Following activities are at the heart of BMB Operations

1KEY ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
A team of highly skilled, multilingual and passionate, key account managers are at the frontline to engage with our customer’s designers and technical developers. They all own a high degree of product knowledge and experience to assist and guide our clients along the research and development process starting from a sketch and managing it through the complexity of building a sample collection and delivering it on time for next catwalk..!
2R&D AND INDUSTRIALIZATION
Stepping into our R&D Workshop is like being captured by one of the oldest crafts known to mankind. Here you can see proven leather craftsmen while manufacturing a new bag… from scratch, a miracle they do every day! Gianni Contino is our Master Craftsman, Discover his work
3PRODUCTION PLANNING, MONITORING AND REPORTING
Crucially, this activity is at the core of our Operations, it utilizes Stealth ERP and other planning modules to smoothly schedule and steer productions according to lead-times and available capacity towards agreed delivery dates and systematically report back to customers on weekly basis the status of their orders. We have a dedicated team and all planners have longstanding experience and engineering backgrounds.
4INLINE PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT
This task, performed by a team of Technical Inspectors, improves our control over each production step, permits the timely correction of defects and improvements in quality. This activity is also aimed to supervise and aid our certified workshops during introduction of new styles, monitors lead-times and assess quality.
5FINAL QUALITY CHECK AND PACKAGING
This visual check is carried out on 100% of production and consists of a careful analysis and cleaning, by specialized staff, of all parts of a product. In case small imperfections or spots are identified, the product is handled separately by a team of highly skilled operators who ensure all leather goods are made pristine and ready for final inspection and begin the packaging process.
6WORKSHOP
Beside our own production capacity, BMB has developed strong collaborations with selected workshops that are independent businesses and with whom we have signed exclusive partnerships (Contratto di Rete), certified through our multi-step Certification Program and audited by international fashion groups. This network’s based know-how, is vital for an independent, flexible and fast manufacturing process, enabled by the control of our whole value chain. All partners are based within the Scandicci Manufacturing District, making it easy for access and enabling our Quality Inspectors to supervise in-line productions and ensure quality guidelines are always met.
7TRAINING
It would be a profound loss if the knowledge and cultural wealth embodied in artisanal crafts were to disappear. For this reason we are associated to local professional and artisanship schools devoted to maintain such know-how and protect the precious threads of creative expression and human history. The schools we support and partner with, MITA (Made in Italy Tuscany Academy) and Alta Scuola di Pelletteria Italiana, train the future generations of leather artisans, to whom we offer a platform of apprenticeship and further training. Apprenticeship is a key experience, as students learn by doing, develop their own skills and competences and get familiar with real-world businesses. We get the opportunity to meet the future talents!
